I found today this butterfly pupae under a piece of wood and I'm interested to rear the specimen

you can see born from this crisalid a Nymphalidae specie probably a Nimphalinae

Yes, for me is a Pieridae. I think gender Pieris sp.

Hi, I think that (the pupa) can be a Pieris of the napi-bryoniæ species group (for the long thin cephalic thorn-process). It can be perhaps really a P. napi napi, but I'm not so sure of this, 'cause there are too much spots on the body, and the color was altered (darker even of the interspecific hybrids of P. napi ) by the presence of the parasite (Hymenoptera ... maybe Ichneumonidae (can you see the transversal vein "2m-cu" ?? )).

in this case will be P.napi, P. bryoniae is not present there.
