This social parasite was collected in nest of an undescribed species from the Temnothorax tuberum complex. It is the only member of the genus Myrmoxenus with first gastral tergite almost completely without erected setae. Its description was published recently in the second volume of the monograph of Gree ants. The monograph is free available to download from our ResearchGate profile. Due to large size (976 pp.) it was published, like volume 1, in two parts:
