Hi, some from this year will come but for now one photographed in 28.april.2008 in Mt.Parnitha, north of Athens (Greece). Libelloides but ? Grazie, cosmln p.s. any suggestion for a book regarding Neuroptera of Europe, or at least something that will go near?

Libelloides lacteus (Brullé, 1832) For the book there is one very good (but a bit old*) in you language: Kis, B.; Nagler, C.; Mândru, C. 1970 Insecta: Neuroptera (Planipennia). Fauna Republicii Socialiste România *Anyway there isn't an up-to-date one! |

The only existing book on European Neuroptera is the Bible: "Die Neuropteren Europas" by Aspoeck et alii; it has three problems: it is in German, it is very "technical" (I think it is not for amateurs) and it is very expensive (over 300 E!). Unfortunately this book has 30 years and now "it starts to suffer from old age", the nomeclature has changed and for some families is not more adequate. |
