Questa bella larvetta l'ho trovata oggi, 07.III.2013, ad Ancona sul muro di cinta del parco della cittadella.
Mi ha incuriosito perché non stava in un imbuto, ma era in agguato tra le crepe dei mattoni.

Chi è? :roll:

Dimensioni: 8mm (mandibole escluse)

Non era sepolta? Interessante ma non più sorprendente! Negli ultimi anni abbiamo scoperto molte cose su questa specie.
Gymnocnemia variegata (Schneider, 1845). Pensa che la larva è stata descritta (da noi) nel 2010.

Più che descritta... descritta e attribuita specificatamente, prima era stata descritta ma non identificata o identificata ma non descritta :? :mrgreen: . Ormai questa specie è la più nota in Europa tra i non pit-builders dopo Distoleon tetragrammicus se contiamo per citazioni.

La nostra è stata la prima descrizione che permette di riconoscere la specie ritrovandola.
