Mi ha colpito questa piccola libellula perchè in natura aveva un bel colore verde ramato, che sembra aver perso ora, per me insolito. Il corpo è lungo circa 4 cm.

ciao miki

Chalcolestes sp., viridis o parvidens, dalla località e dall'ambiente (torrente) più probabile il primo
se vuoi esserne sicuro devi:

1) fare una foto ben a fuoco e dettagliata dell'ovopositore

2) oppure osservare al microscopio l'ovopositore, che all'estremità ha il bordo denticolato, e contare quanti dentelli ci sono

viridis e tuo.
L.viridis con 10-14 denti (piu piccoli)
L.parvidens 6-8 denti (piu grandi)

confermo viridis :ok:

il genere è Chalcolestes, la distinzione fra i due generi è evidente soprattutto nelle larve, cmq i maschi maturi di Chalcolestes si riconoscono facilmente dai Lestes perché totalmente privi di pruinosità azzurra

Perché allora tutti gli esemplari del forum, a parte uno, sono taxati Lestes viridis e non Chalcolestes?

Anche faunaeur da solo due generi nei Lestidae, Sympecma e Lestes...

perché fino a poco tempo fa Chalcolestes era accettato come genere distinto da una minoranza di studiosi, tra cui il sottoscritto

, che pur controvoglia si era adeguato a fauna eur

adesso anche l'atlante italiano preliminare ha accettato Chalcolestes, e lo stesso farà l'atlante lombardo di prossima pubblicazione... quindi appena riesco, provvedo ad adeguare anche le taxazioni del forum :cap:
