Some 'golden' ants from Costa Rica; everywhere common; about 2 cm

Camponotus sericeiventris sericeiventris (Guérin-Méneville, 1838)

According to Wheeler, 1931d, with feeble golden pubescence on thorax and head, major workers (like this one) with head longer than broad and only feebly convex cheeks and pronotal spines longer than broad and with acute tip it is the nominal subspecies.

Another very common species in that zone.
