Not Ponerinae but Ectatomminae.

Ectatomma sp..

Now I need your help! I have the impression (expecially by the first photo) that this specimen has 2 tubercles in homeral position on the pronotum. If you can confirm, it is undoubted Ectatomma tuberculatum (Olivier, 1792).

So definitively Ectatomma tuberculatum (Olivier, 1792).

The presence of homeral tubercles is not an isolated character within this genus, on the contrary it is quite frequent among the Ectatomma spp.. But in central America no doubt about tuberculatum. Also the reddish colour is mostly typical of it.

E. tuberculatum should also be the most common species of the genus in that zone.
