Hello, this specimen was collected in a coastal dunes habitat, lenght 6.6 mm :hi:
It is Lamprias cyanocephalus (Linnaeus, 1758)? :roll:

It's interesting because this species seems to be not rare at all here in Romania, in many regions, yet the species is not recorded in the Catalogue of Palearctic Coleoptera for RO, and I also can't find paper regarding its distribution or presence here :no1: :roll:

interesting, yet maybe not really surprising; in italy, possibly (also) because of climate changes, several species in these last years are considerably spreading outside their previously known range, e.g. Stenolophus (Egadroma) marginatus, Chlaenius (Trichochlaenius) chrysocephalus, or the odonata Diplacodes lefebvrii, Trithemis annulata, and Selysiothemis nigra

That's true and it's also the same in Romania, but in the case of this beetle, I do not know what to say :roll: :hi: :hi:
