Mi pare piuttosto un Acupalpus, però potrebbe anche essere, se il pronoto è sinuato come sembra, un Anthracus

hi  Cillenus lateralis is a little difficult  , since it is only known for atlantic european coasts...i suppose Acupalpus (s. str.) meridianus (Linnaeus, 1761)... moreover, the only european Anthracus with blackish forebody i know is Anthracus insignis (Reitter, 1884), a species with restricted range, nw greece and coastal former yugoslavia, quite unlikely to occur in romania could i have a better and enlarged picture of head, pronotum and base of elytra? |

the quality of the image is not very very high  yet it's enoughbecause meridianus is unique among our Acupalpus in having punctate, instead of smooth, striae... and this can be seen Acupalpus (s. str.) meridianus (Linnaeus, 1761) |
