Hi, I don't know hispanic species, it's surely a Chlaeniinae, it seems Chlaeniellus vestitus, but the lenght I think it's too much for my ipothesi. wait Gomphus for a last and correct classification!!! :ok:
PS: Do you live in London???? my sister is more than 8 years that lives in London! every time I go in London I visit the natural history museum!!! it's great!!!!

Thank you Giacomo and Davide! Yes, I live in London - the Natural History Museum is great but sadly they have removed a lot of their taxonomic insect displays with the old-fashioned landscape dioramas. Matthew :)

My opinion is that is really a Chlaeniellus vestitus, but the size is wrong. This species cannot reach 18 mm, for sure.

In that area this should be the only species of Chlaeniellus with this elytral pattern.

Best regards ;)
