raccolto nel 15.I.2010, Romania: Moldova: near Iasi, leg. Cosmin O. Manci, dimensioni ~13 mm.
anche genitalia stata preparata, se necessario faro qualche foto.

Limodromus assimilis (Paykull 1790)

Also there is no other Limodromus in Romania,as far as I know.

k, now I have taken a look on [Heinz Freude, Karl-Wilhelm Harde & Gustav Adolf Lohse (eds.) 2004. Die Käfer Mitteleuropas, Band 2 (Carabidae) (2nd ed.)] ... see the crop from book ... and I will say that pronotum and genitalia in my eyes look like the one from L.krynickii.

Really, L. krinickiii is a clearly larger and darker species, different from the one here represented. L. assimilis is a very widespread, common and variable species, so a considerable amount of variation can be observed, but the other species is really different. I am sorry.

Limodromus krynickii is not only a dark species with almost entirely blackish appendages (however, note that i'm not familiar with not fully mature specimens), usually it has less shining elytra because of stronger microsculpture, their shine is somewhat reminiscent of a male Anisodactylus binotatus

should this be of some interest for you, i have never found krynickii in woods far from water, or in hillsides; conversely, it is often more abundant than assimilis in floodplain woods, even small wooded patches or stripes, along the large rivers
