- 1st antennal segment very long, about as long as the next 4 segments together.
4th tarsal segment with deep incision, strongly heart-shaped.
Claws smooth ................................................. Drypta

- 1st antennal segment clearly smaller proportionally. 4th tarsal segment with shallow incision, slightly heart-shaped.
Claws pectinate ............................................... Glycia

according to arndt & al., ground beetles of greece, this is Glycia spencei (Gistel, 1838); G. ornata is a different species, and does not occur in greece (or elsewhere in europe)

And what about the mandibles? Does anybody mention them? The mandibles are very elongate in Drypta and of normal length in Glycia. And this is by far the first character that appears even at first sight. ;)
