From July, at least 50mm, Picos, northern Spain. Is this Cerambyx cerdo? Any advice appreciated. Matthew

Secondo me è un Cerambyx welensii (Küster, 1846) per la scultura delle elitre e del pronoto. |

Hi all There is a list of Cerambycidae for Spain on http://www.fauna-iberica.mncn.csic.es/f ... ycidae.php but C. welensii isn't on it! However, I do see several references to the presence of the species in the Cork Oak (Quercus suber) forests of W Andalucía. Is a record so far north in Spain notable? Ciao Teresa |
