Hi,

I have two specimens of Tetropium (the eye is divided in two parts... checked).

First one I have IDed as Tetropium castaneum (Linnaeus, 1758).
details: Romania - Cindrel Mountains (45.504264/23.652354/ 1350 m) found on a spruce (Picea) log in 12.july.2010, leg. Cosmin O. Manci.


and a second one that I'm not sure where to put (the furrow on frons, not as deep like on the other specimen, is present but looks somehow different for me), IDed for now as Tetropium castaneum (Linnaeus, 1758), but with a lot of question mark
details: Romania - Cindrel Mountains (45.554538/23.815655/ 1600 m) - found in a middle of a bog (me there sinked until on the knee searching for dragonflies ) resting on some grassy plants, there found also one very nice Oxymirus cursor (again resting) in 13.july.2010, leg. Cosmin O. Manci.

Hi Mancin,
in my opinion they you can regard them as two colour forms of one species (Tetropium castaneum)
