if looking in profile it shows a sparse pubescence than perroudi perroudi it's surely brevipilosus!
I think anyway your specimen it's it (brevipilosus)...someone needs to explain to me how is it possible that in Crete it's signaled both the one and the other...
It should be as in Corsica or Sardinia someone signaled both semanotus laurasi laurasi and laurasi corsicus...isn't it the negation of the concept of subspecies???

Hi Zdeno,
your Pogonocherus is surely P. perroudi brevipilosus. Pogonocherus perroudi is easy to distinguish from the other species for the median light line on the scutellum.
According the presence of both subspecies in Crete is due, very likely, because previously it was reported for the island as perroudi and later separated in a different subspecies by Holzschuh.
Ciao
Pierpaolo
