This time some information about some interesting species: Monochamus saltuarius (GEBLER, 1830)
Formerly in Poland this species was considered a rarely encountered. We now know that it occurs more often in a large area of the country. Appears in different types of woods and developing both on pine and on spruce. The larvae feed on thin branches and young, withered stumps. M. Saltuarius recently recorded in the Polish capital - Warsaw, to a large forest on the southern border of the city.
