Might be Opsilia coerulescens, or something similar. I have no idea of which species you have in Turkey. |

Beh, Mandibulae in uncinata are unicuspid, whereas in coerulescens are bicuspid. You can see what are bicuspid mandibulae in this topic, where is displayed one O.coerulescens and one unkown species. |

I couldn't understand exactly what bicuspid is but I take a photo of mandibulae. But I found it here and it fits with the mandibulae of my specimen. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File: ... ndibel.jpg

Hi, it is Opsilia coerulescens. Opsilia uncinata is only known from the east of Turkey. In your area can live Opsilia molybdena as well. Pierpaolo |

We have a Turkish entomologist,Hüseyin Özdikmen and he has lots of publication about Cerambycidae. In one of his publication,THE LONGICORN BEETLES OF TURKEY (COLEOPTERA: CERAMBYCIDAE) PART III–AEGEAN REGION,he says so for the species Opsilia uncinata: Records in Turkey: (IZ-TUR) Turkey (Lodos, 1998); İzmir prov.: Kuşadası (Özdikmen et al., 2005). and so: Remarks: It has been reported only from Aegean Region as connected with the geological area covered by the present work (*). Probably it distributes only in Western Turkey. And also in that publication the species Opsilia molybdena didn't even mentioned. |
