Note systematic:
Until now, the issue of the taxonomic affiliation of this species is unclear and debatable.
I treat it as Monochamus sartor urussovi sensu Wallin et all in 2013, because this view convinces me.


Monochamus sartor urussovi (FISCHER VON VALDHEIM, 1805) I repeatedly encountered the north-eastern Poland. In terms of food preferences this species does not differ from other representatives of the genus Monochamus - is associated with softwood. Adults were there from mid-June through July and August, and can be found on wood - especially on thick, withered or felled trunks of spruce trees.
