Hi everybody! I need a confirmation in case of determination of this specimen from north Mongolia. Imago was reared (II.2016) from Salix twig collected in dark taiga in August 2015. Is it Amarysius altajensis coreanus (Okamoto, 1924)? Best regards, Lech |

Dear Marcello, Thanks a lot! Indeed, Mongolia is amazing country with pristine habitats. Additionally, Amarysius and Anoplistes genus belong in my opinion to the most beautiful and ecologically intresting (mainly in case of Anoplistes) ones. Regards, Lech |

I am not an expert in Cerambycidae, but Crossidius looks more similar to Amarysius than Purpuricenus. |

Amarysius is small group of species (8) with relatively small area of distribution and low variability between species. Genus Purpuricenus and Crossidius seems more related to each other - wide areas, very variable species and others. Of course it is no important what I think about it because each can have your own opinion about it - this is disobliging. Cita: Crossidius LeConte 1851: 102.
