It is Stenocorus. There is a new species described by Ozdikmen et al as guveni, which looks similar and is from Central Anatolia. No idea if it is this one or some other species, which can be found in Anatolia also, like auricomus. |

As per Ozdikmen paper : - Elytra with a black humeral band; scutellum uniformly black ..............................S. guveni Elytra and scutellum uniformly yellowish to reddish .... S. auricomus . So it seems to be S.guveni |

It is a very nice and very rare species: Stenocorus auricomus! It is typical from SE Anatolia. I've collected in Tunceli, Bingol, Bitlis and Hatay provinces. In my opinion guveni is simply a synonym of auricomus. I've collected auricomus up to Dortyol and it is the same from other parts of Anatolia. The characters to separate guveni from auricomus are only individual variations. Pierpaolo |
