Grazie Baris!
From Tenerife are:

Aphthona convexior
Aphthona crassipes
Aphthona moralesi
Aphthona occidentalis
Aphthona paivana
Aphthona tristis
Aphthona wachnitzae
Aphthona wollastoni

The only one that I can find an image is Aphthona crassipes :(

The photo is of poor quality. Canarian Aphthona mostly belong to the group often classified as different genus Heyrovskya and are metallic: http://culex.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/ ... ovskya.htm
Only Aphthona crassipes belongs to the typical Aphthona s. str. and beetle on photo looks very similar to this species but some Canarian Longitarsus are also similar. On this photo hind tarsi are not good visible thus the best character distinguishing Aphthona and Longitarsus (short or long first segment of hind tarsi) is not clear. Broad first segment of mid tarsi suggests male of Aphthona crassipes.

This is not Aphthona crassipes but Longitarsus kleiniiperda Wollaston, 1860.

All the best,
Maurizio Biondi
