Is this, Smaragdina chloris caucasica? The shape of the pronotum seem to me somehow different. But I couldn't find any other matching species

Looks very interesting. Fore legs like in Smaragdina chloris (elongate first tarsomere) but generally body more elongate than in typical S. chloris and base of pronotum more distinctly bisinuate basally. Please send this photo to Jan Bezdek (bezdek@mendelu.cz). He is now the best expert in Clytrinae of the eastern part of Mediterranean area. |

Jan Bezdek answered me that he also has a short series of specimens from a close area which are probably the same species with this one. He will check his specimens in the following week and reply back. |
