Hi, at the beginning of July I have visited Portugal (north part) for few days, that part is not good from entomological point of view. is this Cryptocephalus vittatus Fabricius, 1775 ? collected in 6.july.2010 in a small clearing at the edge of River Beça (41.562569°/-7.819298°). Grazie, cosmln P.S. sorry for the quality of my photos for a period (my new camera is dead, the old one is in bad shape and the lens is almost dead)

Cryptocephalus vittatus, without doubts. The only European species with such combination of characters: black, impunctate pronotum, black legs, vittate elytra. |
