Specimen from Elba is a male with broad fore tarsi. This character occurs in Chrysolina sturmi while male of Ch. olivieri has fore tarsi not widened, similar to the tarsi of female. Compare:

http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/Colpolo ... sturmi.htm

http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/Colpolo ... ivieri.htm

In Ch. sturmi colour of tarsi is more or less red, usually without or with indistinct metallic tint while in Ch. olivieri tarsi are dark coloured, black with metallic green or blue tint.

Both species have forms with punctation of elytra almost homogenous or with mixed small and large punctures. Usually in males punctation is more heterogenous than in females.
