Hi all  , I am not sure about these 2 specimens of Bruchus  . Number 1 I think it is B. luteicornis but I am not sure about the number 2, it is also luteicornis (but the eight ventrite is different and I think also the spine on the mid tibia) or it is B. rufipes? Both specimens were collected in the same place in the same day.Thanks for your help ,Alex  |

Both are males of Bruchus luteicornis. Males of B. rufipes and B. libanensis, possible in your country, has antennae with yellow only basal antennal segments and black apical segments (and B. libanensis has black middle femora). B. rufipes has genital ventrites with distinctly broader alae than in B. luteicornis. Your specimens represent only infraspecific variation. |

Thank you for the explanations   , I know there are normally differences in the leg and antennae coloration, but also that the coloration can vary, that's why I asked here for guidance
