I am not aware of any publication from Italy on the record of this species. He is found in the same area of the Palearctic as Colasposoma dauricum and both appear to have entered Italy via the same route. It is hard to say whether this is an accidental observation. C. piperata has great potential for acclimatization in Italy. They live on a wide range of plants of the Amaranthaceae and Chenopodiaceae families and can persist in ruderal areas and gardens. |
