Hello, is this Cyclodinus sp. or something similar? Collected on the Black Sea coast, lenght ~ 3 mm.

Thank you Giuseppe, it could be, but I don't have any experience or keys for this family, so at least for now this is Cyclodinus cf. coniceps (Marseul, 1879)

Coniceps group = difficult group. This group would need a good overhaul. From literature as reported by Bucciarelli 1980, subsp. there are one in the Iberian Peninsula, one in France, one in Crete, one in Macedonia, one in Greece, one in North Africa and one in the Balkan Peninsula, so the subsp. lagunarum is the one found in Italy and the Balkan Peninsula and is the one to which your specimen should belong. |
