New taxon for this forum. Rare and very local phytosaprophagous species, bionomics similar as in E. porcellus (J. Frivaldszky, 1879), but without a distinct preference for limestone habitats and with adults active in late spring and summer, depending on the altitude. Larvae live in decaying plant matter in the soil. Facultative coprophagy of the adults of this species was never observed.
