Dear Guido. Apparently, it's Potosia (Netocia) vidua (Gory et. Perch. 1833). Confused by a strongly developed white drawing, but provided photos mesothorax process still proves ownership of your sample to the species P. vidua. In addition, I place the structural details of the mind of the work Medvedev, S. I. 1964. Scarabaeidae. Subfam. Cetoniinae, Valginae. Coleoptera, vol. 10(5), 375 pp. (Fauna of USSR, New series, N 90).

Protaetia (Netocia) vidua ab. adspersa (Walt. 1838) However, I believe that it is necessary to have a series of bugs, see also holotypes to find out all the details. Ciao, Tigran. ![]() |

Guido, you're absolutely right. Prosternum mind to P. vidua has hair on the central part. However, the upper part prosternum P. asiatica has a plane with dots as in mind, moreover prosternum P. asiatikas less. Generally, the hairs on the prosternum may or may not exist. I observed this phenomenon in their P. asiatica from Armenia. Just have your picture on the beetle elytra dense, in P. asiatica it is quite different. Another aspect. Areal P. asiatica not beyond the basin of the Araks River and on such a remote part of it is not known. However, I stick to the opinion that in areas docks area of closely related species may well be instances, with a combination of both types of features. |
