in the old monograph of Scarabaeidae (Panin, 1957: Fauna RPR) is mentioned also Lethrus macrognathus (from Fleck, 1905 [Montadon leg.]) as being collected from Cernavoda, but this record is not considered to be valid.

checking now with Baraud and I don't even know what species is that Lethrus macrognathus Fairmare, 1866 . In Baraud is not listed anywhere as part of european fauna.

In CPC Lethrus macrognathus Fairmare, 1866 is reported from A:TR only!

Yes, Lethrus macrognathus is endemism of Turkey and is not member of european fauna. Panin mistook.

was Fleck/Montadon mistake, Panin just wrote this record but mentioning that this species is not belonging to romanian fauna.
