Hi Zdeno can you tell me on which plants / flower have you mostly found them ? because i went to Greece this end of April but i just found one Will get back wednesday and i hope to find more...... nice catch !! PS sorry i read now you collected them on Crataegus ........we have lots of those plants in Volos but no chance were i was..... |

Marco, quando andrai tu in Grecia i Crataegus saranno ancora fioriti, ma più in quota. Se riesci ad andare sui 700-800 metri, ti divertirai ombrellando. |

Hi there, just an only species in my opinion, both sexes. Very likely H. nigrina - H. stenolepis group. No further suggestion, the whole group needs revision. Bests, Clickie ![]() |

Marco, I have been driving all over Greece this year. From Athens - Komotini-Xanthi-Drama-Serres-Chalkidiki-Thessaloniki-Kirkini Mts-Tzena Mt-Veria-Kozani-Meteora-Ossa-Lamia-around Athens and the only place were I have seen Hoplia were Meteora and Ossa, nowhere else ! If you want, I can send you GPS of exact tree ![]() Clickie, respectfuly, I think there are 2 species. From both " sizes " there are females, that` s why I have took photos of both of them. Thanks for your effort guys ! ![]() P.S. Clickie, there is 1 more specie in waiting list...I didnt realized that. Just wait please for the second photo...I shouldnt mix it up like that ![]() |
