It's something for specialists for Onthophagini, e.g. Creedence. I'm not able to identificate Onthophagini on the basis of genitalia morphology. |

Problema di non facile soluzione. Nonostante i disegni proposti da Phalops (tratti da Palestrini, 1981), parameri e lamella copulatrice non servono per una sicura differenziazione delle due specie, anche perchè la stessa Palestrini, al contrario di altri autori, considera Onthophagus similis (Scriba, 1790) sinonimo più antico di O. opacicollis Reitter, 1892. In ogni caso l'animale postato da Alexaandru mi sembra un O. fracticornis (Preyssler, 1790). Con il solito punto interrogativo. |

Yes, Creedence is right, I unfortunately chose the example drawings of aedeagus.But I still think it is O.fracticornis. Photo shown by Alexandru is not too good, but comparing paramera with the drawing should ensure the correctness of the determination.
