Matthew, to me it looks more like an Oedemeridae. It might be (but I am wandering well outside my court) Ischnomera sanguinicollis or something similar.

In my little experience I agree with Cosmin: in this case it should be ssp. turcicus (W. Schmidt, 1846).

Andrea LIberto (Clickie) drew my attention to this discussion: this is clearly a female of Anogcodes ruficollis, noticeable by the black and not metallic coloration of the head and the red pronotum. |
