Can anyone please tell me which of the three Spanish species of Mantispidae this is? It would appear to most resemble Mantispa styriaca (Poda,1761), but I cannot find any good images of Perlamantispa perla (Pallas,1772) or P. icterica (Pictet,1865). Many thanks. Ciao Teresa |

Yes ... today ... but perhaps not tomorrow ! Do you have other photos, also wrong ? I'm interested to see the abdominal pattern. The populations of Mantispa styriaca need a revision. Roberto

Thank you for your replies. Roberto, I don't think I have any pictures showing any more of the abdominal pattern than this one. Unfortunately I let the creature go, but next time I find one... exactly which part of the abdomen do you need to see? Here is another picture anyway, in case it helps. Ciao Teresa |
