I did not collected... I was thinking strongly in collect it or not because I fear that it would be not possible to ID by photo, but I not collected because I don't have neuroptera expert friends in my city and because it's a rare insect.

There are only two species recorded from Monegros region (and I believe, from all Aragon): Dilar meridionalis and Dilar dissimilis. There is no minimum possibility of distinguish between both species?

There is a female in the same place, years before.

Dilar species are not rare in Southern Europe (especially in Spain), normally they are only extremely localized but often present in great numbers for a very short period of the year. The only reliable character to identify the species are the male genitalia (and not always sufficient!). If you find other specimens preserve some in alcohol for study!

In which kind of habitat did you observe it?
It was large (< 1 cm) or small (> 1 cm )?

Habitat: gypsy steppes near abandoned cultivation fields. No trees in all the zone.
Size: clearly bigger than 1 cm. Maybe about 15 mm.

Tentative identification based on ecology and phenology: Dilar dissimilis Navás, 1903 (certainty is possible only with the genitalia).
