Hi Matthew, I think it can be Curculio (Curculio) elephas (Gyllenhal 1836) ... but it is better to wait for the experts

Yes, it is Curculio sp., probably C.elephas (c.f. http://www.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/Co ... lephas.htm ), but I must have a look at it to Weevils check-list of spain (Alonzo-Zarazaga)  .
