Curculionidae:Otiorhynchus armadillo  (male) If it is Otiorhynchus armadillo,it may be a new species for Turkish Fauna. According to "On the species status of Otiorhynchus armadillo (Rossi, 1792) and Otiorhynchus salicicola Heyden, 1908 (Coleoptera, Curculionidae,Entimini)" it doesn't occur in Turkey. Does Dodecastichus occur in Turkey?Because I couldn't find neither a record or a check list. And also another specimen from 2011 in the same location:

Per me non è Dodechastichus.  Insisto nella mia idea originaria e credo che si tratti di Otiorhynchus armadillo (Rossi, 1792). Il dubbio è sempre con Otiorhynchus pseudonothus Apfelbeck, 1897. Il tuo esemplare dovrebbe essere un maschio!  Se lo estrai, ci toglieremo definitivamente ogni dubbio, altrimenti resta un "cf."!

The aedeagi of these two species are really different at the apex (look:in the PDF Fig.3 left and right). This one looks like O.armadillo at the apex. |

Personalmente, con questi, finchè non li ho estratti, rimango sempre con il dubbio, ma a questo punto, andrei sul sicuro per Otiorhynchus (s.str.) armadillo (Rossi, 1792). Aspetto il parere di Giuseppe  e poi tolgo il "cf."!
