I found this tiny beetle today in my garden in London - it is about 4mm long. Any ideas what it might be?

Apionidae, very probably Aspidapion radiolus (c.f. http://www.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/Co ... diolus.htm ) - you have female (longer nose). Host plants - Malvaceae. |

Yes, this belong to Malvaceae  . This plants (and family Malvaceae) are hostplants of genus Aspidapion, Pseudapion, Malvapion and Alocentron (all Apionidae)
