Hello.

After looking a while onto this specimen I got rather sure, that it is from the genus Achradidius, which has several species in small asia, and one species (A. syriacus) which goes to the west to greece.

I sent it to Christoph Germann from the Naturhistorisches Institut Basel, which confirmed the genus and determined it as a female of Achradidius syriacus. It is not the first report from Italy, but the older report seems dubious and meanwhile is erased from the checklist for Italia. The new finding is now published in the Bollettino della Società Entomologica Italiana Vol 151, No 3 Pagine 125-128 (2019). But I have to say that my own contribution to the article was only the gathering of the beetle and the realization, that I have something special.

Michael
