Buonasera!
L'altro giorno scortecciando un rovere secco in piedi ho trovato questo piccolo Curculionidae (direi 3-4 mm). Mi hanno colpito molto le "enormi" spine presenti sui femori anteriori. Volevo sapere se c'è qualcuno che riesce a darmi qualche informazione in più.

Is this species associated only with apple trees or also with other plants? I'm asking because I found it in the middle of the woods and the closest apple orchards are at least 1 or 2 km away.

There are 4 genera as host-plants for this species, as I think (Malus, Pirus, Crataegus and Prunus).
Probably also some more plants from the same family (Rosaceae).

Thank you for the information! I guess that the host plant in my case could potentially be Crataegus monogyna or some wild Prunus avium, that are most likely present in the area, not numerous but present as individual trees scattered into the woods.

One curiosity: are you interested in all Curculionidae? Because my knowledge about this family is very scarce and I have some undetermined specimens.
