Thank you for the consideration, but in this case and upon a single female I would be very in doubt about the species. If I look at the literature, the two only species mentioned for Israel are O. battus and O. diffinis. I have collected myself O. battus in Israel in three localities, but checking my specimens I would be more inclined to think that this specimen is O. diffinis. Maybe the precise size could help, because O. battus is on the average larger than the other species. In any case, I vote for O. diffinis. Have a good evening |
