Hello Yuri, can you pleas post a photo without retouch so the hairs are more natural? and a closeup of the basis of elytra? Anyway,it seems something else than A. ovata-  G.

hi yuri not only those on pronotum; for instance, on the inner side of hind tibiae, besides normal long and well-spaced setae, in some Amara males have a "brush" of short, close hairs, while in other species they lack it, and this is an important diagnostic feature also, the shape of the inner apical spur of fore tibiae is an important feature finally, please give a close picture of elytral apex, slightly from behind, to see exactly whether, or not, interstriae toward apex become more convex and striae deeper than at mid-length of elytra |

hi yuri this is not the same specimen, this is a female supposing the size is + or - the same, i.e. over 10 mm... Amara (Amara) eurynota (Panzer, 1796)  ?

Dear Mauritian! I am sending you a list of Amara. Amara (Amara) eurynota (Panzer, 1796) is not there. In the traps were still Carabidae. If you can not identify - not scary. When will gather a lot of beetles, go to the university to determine. Thank you. Yuri

Hello Yuri, your pictures show for sure two different subgenera and three different species, maybe four... But all of them are too dark -- Determining the Amara may be hard even in the best situation. Sorry I cannot help more, G.
