That's a bit to much for Ophonus azureus. I don't know if they can get bigger, but the size in my books is named up to 9 mm. So I guess it is not O. azureus. But not for sure. Ciao Klaas |

hi ozgur from the photo, your specimen appears to have dark femora, which would exclude both azureus and sabulicola, as well as most Ophonus species, in which legs are uniformly reddish to red-yellowish can you confirm whether or not this feature is real? thanks p.s. the specimen was directly collected, or maybe it remained a more or less long time in a pitfall trap? this may result in a darkening of light parts of appendages |

As you seen femora is a little bit darker and the legs are reddish. |
