Honza ha scritto: It is Platydracus (I do not know Platydracus size of 9.5 mm) Checking again the lenght (using an eyepiece with reticle on my binocular microscope) I can confirm it is 9,5-9,6 mm (9,55 mm). Certainly alive it was a bit longer, before the abdomen is shortened. (perhaps 11 mm?) |

Platydracus chalcocephalus (Fabricius, 1801) 13 - 17 mm Platydracus flavopunctatus (Latreille, 1804) 14 - 22 mm Platydracus fulvipes (Scopoli, 1763) 13 - 16 mm Platydracus latebricola (Gravenhorst, 1806) 10 - 12 mm Platydracus stercorarius (Olivier, 1795) 13 - 15 mm I think it is a male Platydracus latebricola

Thisis a Platydracus latebricola, but it seems a little different. Femurs of all legs are black in my specimens, not reddish. Dorsally, the abdomen in covered with deep black hair. I found only this specimen, but if you think it is of some interest, I can try to find others. |

It's possible it is a darker specimen of latebricola! What do you think? |

yes it is possible,from the beginning I thought latebricola  this is latebricola in my collection

Very similar, except for mandibles and colour of legs. |
