Potrebbero essere dei Philonthus, ma anche no. Due esemplari con lievi differnze nei tarsi e nel colore delle antenne, magari sono rispettivamente femmina e maschio. Hanno un bel riflesso verde petrolio. C'è poi un terzo esemplare che metto quì, perchè oltre ad essere di una località leggermente diversa ha un chè di diverso, ma è giusto una sensazione. L. = 11-13 mm Primo esemplare 13 mm Secondo esemplare 11 mm i due esemplari a confronto (l'ingrandimento è più o meno lo stesso) |

13 mm - Could you please take a picture of dorsal rows of punctures on pronotum? 11 mm - I think it's a male of Ph. cognatus. This species is rather characteristic in the coloration of first antennomere. |

The 13 mm one have 4 dorsal pores for side and some other more lateral as illustrated (excepted the marginal pores). The 11 mm one have the same pore distribution but at least the yellow more one. |

Anche secondo me, x quanto visibile da delle foto, sono P. decorus e P. cognatus. P. decorus comunque dovrebbe avere sull'avncorpo una colorazione verde-ottone abbastanza evidente dal vivo. P. cognatus è nero, ma il carattere del colore del primo antennomero è abbastanza evidente Nic |

Onestamente... Dall'ultimo intervento non ho capito come va rinominata...  Magari qualcuno che mastica meglio gli stafilinidi ci arriva meglio...

Credo che possa essere rinominato con nome doppio per non dividere in due la discussione Philonthus decorus Linnaeus 1758 & Philonthus cognatus Stephens, 1832 - Staphylinidae che sono rispettivamente l'esemplare di 13 mm e quello di 11 mm
