Hello, another specimen collected in the same place and date as these 2 ones (http://www.entomologiitaliani.net/public/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=77120, http://www.entomologiitaliani.net/public/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=77145), it can't be ID-ed certainly, right?   |

This is a female of Bruchidius varius sensu auctores but the group needs revision based on types. Maybe Bruchidius martinezi sensu auctores is in fact a true B. varius but this southern species with partly black antennae in both sexes is another taxon (in Central Europe predominate this form with completely yellow antennae in female = martinezi auct. not the true B. martinezi). |
