A me è capitato una volta, non ricordo se in Tunisia o in Marocco, ma erano tutte Coccinella septempunctata, che avevano ricoperto completamente una pianta che spuntava tra le rocce.

Christoph Benisch identified those in his own forum for you as cf. Exochomus octosignatus one week ago (29.12.2013). You should have been telling the guys around here your knowledge and should have been asking if they can confirm this ID or not.

On this way your question got a bad taste in my mind.

In Christoph Benisch forum the comment is: "Hi Ozgur, since we are no experts for the turkish fauna, I can only tell it is family Coccinellidae. Don't know what genus or species, but the photo of the aggregation is more than interresting. Best regards, Klaas.... Hi Ozgur, I tried really hard, and I finally got it: I think this is Exchomus (= Brumus) octosignatus (Gebler, 1830). A bit of uncertainty remains, as Turkey is not our primary area of expertise. I didn't criticize your asking for it in another Forum, I criticize the way you do it. The correct way in my mind would have been to tell what you've got told it could be, what you didn't.

That's all and it is my question to you to do it better next time. ;)
