This is Tabanus autumnalis Linnaeus, 1761

That was a good guess, but in T. autumnalis lateral clear patches on tergites do not reach the tergites' posterior margin, whilst here they reach it. I'd say it is Tabanus eggeri Schiner 1868.

I saw that Theo Zeegers corrected the diagnosis to Tabanus autumnalis; Theo is an expert and I am not, his diagnosis is the correct one. In the key I misinterpreted the point 'only one row of pale median triangles'; in this case it is true that there is only a row of media triangles, but there are two other lateral rows of patches even if they are not triangles. Good to know for the next time, I'll edit the title.
