This species was quite common this summer in Spain but what could it be? Matthew

Dear Matthew,
I observe your immage for a long time but don't have a clear determination.
The pattern of the wind is peculiar but commun of Gelechidae (gen. Caryocolum, many specis) but the small dimnesion and the color of head are caratteristic of Schytrididae.
I exclude Elachistidae family.
So the fauna of Spain is out fo my field study.

Giovanni - thank you very much for looking. It is possble that it is one of the many endemic species in Spain so I may have to seek further advice. I agree that it is a bit of a mystery! Matthew
