Hello to everyone Short introduction about me: I am a German biology-student working with scarabs. I found this forums last year, and I thought it´s a good time now, to show something of my work. Unfortunately I am not able to understand Italian, but English should be understandable. In my freetime I developed a method to prepare scarab-larvae. Until now I was able to get good results with Cetoniidae, Dynastidae, Lucanidae and Euchiridae. The larvae are prepared at home in my kitchen. I did not used any freeze-drying methods. The real method will be published during this year. Here are some pictures of my work: Megasoma elephas L3: ![]() Dynastes hercules occidentalis L3: ![]() Mecynorhina polyphemus confluens L3: ![]() Eudicella woermanni L3: ![]() Propomacrus bimucronatus L3: ![]() The work on pupae ist not so easy. You always have some different color-dots on them. I have to improve their preparation. Here you can see a Xylotrupes florensis pupae: ![]() Please let me know your opinion. Best regards, Matthias |

Hello, thank you for your positive feedback. I started now working with Apidae and Lepidoptera larvae. But there are a lot of problems and many disformed and decolorized insects. But I am very sure to find a solution ![]() I will inform you later about my newest results! |
